Hey Goal Digging Friends,
We’re in the second quarter of the year – how are you doing with your goals?
I’m doing great. I’ve paid off some debt, I’ve increased my credit score to the mid 600s, my mortgage score is about 43 points away from where I want it to be- so I must say, I feel great.
So, I thought since we’re all doing great with our goals, why not start a new challenge. A Money Challenge.
If you didn’t know, I am on a mission to become a home owner in 2019 and I am using the rest of this year to help me get there. So I decided to challenge myself to save $1500 by the end of the year using my money-saving worksheet below. (Isn’t it just great- sometimes you need a visual)
The prize is what I call D-Squared: Discipline and Drive. This money challenge will discipline you to control your impulses on spending unnecessarily and help you focus on the real mission, your why. Listen I made a choice this year that I was no longer going to allow my money to control me, but I was going to control it. Can I get an Amen! I can’t hear you in the back.
Now not only will you be disciplined, making your money work for you, but you will also push yourself to higher level of drive and determination, the two things that will help you accomplish goals even outside of this challenge. Think about it, if you can do this, you can do anything. Drive is what pushes you to greatness. Drive says, I won’t stop, can’t stop! Doesn’t that sound like YOU my goal digging friend?
Now all we’re missing is the Why? Why are you joining this challenge?
It can be a vacation, the upcoming holidays, a house, a car…. you name it. Whatever it is, I know it’s achievable.
Once you have your why, then you’re ready to start. So rev up your engines because tomorrow starts Ask Kay’s Goal Digging Money Challenge. Stay the course and you can save $500 in 3 months and $1500 by the end of the year. (Now this challenge was designed to help you save $2000 but we’re already 4 months behind).
To join this challenge all you have to do is:
1. Print copies of my worksheet (If you want a hard copy, just email me at email@example.com)
2. Each square has a $ amount, cross off each square as you put that $ amount in your savings account or savings jar (Need a savings jar, check out Savings Fun Jar
, I purchased 3!)
3. Use the hashtag: #KaysGoalDiggerMoneyChallenge to keep me in the loop with how you’re doing.
As always, when I learn something new in the realm of finances, I’ll be sure to let you know!
Good Luck Goal Digger! Let’s save this money!
